Blackberry® Prepaid VAS Service

There are 2 ways to activate BlackBerry Service

  1. UMB (*118#) e.g. Dial *118# , select Mobile Services > BlackBerry (BIS), then select the BlackBerry service you wish to subscribe.
  2. SMS (short code: 28118) e.g. Send to 28118
  • ON BB Day, Send to 28118
  • ON BB Week, Send to 28118
  • ON BB Month, Send to 28118
  • ON BB 2Month, Send to 28118

BlackBerry® Internet Service allows you to use the following service on your BlackBerry® device:

  • Internet Browsing
  • Email Services (Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail)
  • Instant Messaging (Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ)
  • Social Networking (Facebook, Twitter)
  • BlackBerry® Messenger (BBM™)
  • BlackBerry® Application World

*Internet tethering & Streaming services (e.g. Youtube) is not included in this plan as U Mobile is running a unlimited data.

The following plans are available:

  • Daily – Valid for 1 Day @RM0.88
  • Weekly – Valid for 7 Days @RM5.50
  • Monthly – Valid for 1 Month @RM19.00
  • 2 Month – Valid for 2 Month @RM34.00

Yes, BlackBerry® Unlimited Data promotion is still available to subscriber whom subscribe to BlackBerry® Day / Week / Month / 2 Month service plan.

Yes, you may purchase any U Broadband Plan by dialing *118# and select ‘U Broadband’.

You can set up your email via your phone by going to "Set Up" Menu, select Email Setting and just follow the instruction.

The device support both Operating System 5.0 & Operating System 6.0.

Yes, you can deactivate the service by dialing *118# and selecting “BlackBerry (BIS)” and selecting “Stop Auto-Renewal”. The system will terminate your service upon expiry of the service. E.g. Subscribe to BB Day service on 1st of July at 8.00am; and trigger for stop auto renewal; service will be deactivated on 2nd of July at 8.00am.

Yes, you will receive an SMS notification when your BlackBerry® Internet Service plan is about to expire.For weekly, you will receive 2 SMS notification; 1st reminder on 3rd day before service expiry and 2nd reminder on 1 day before service expiry.For Monthly plan and 2 month plan, you will be receiving 3 SMS notification; 1st reminder on 7th day before expiry, 2nd reminder on 3rd day before service expiry and 3rd reminder on 1 day before service expiry.

Yes, starting on 3rd July 2012, system will be able to support renewal retries; there will be 2 renewals retry attempts for each plan.E.g. BB Day service expiry on 1st July at 3.00pm, 1st renewal at 2pm; failed to renew service will be removed, and 2nd retry retries on next day at 1pm. If both renewal retries failed, renewal attempt will be stop. Subscriber is required tore- activate the BB service again.E.g. BB Month service expiry on 1st July 3.00pm, 1st renewal at 1pm; upon failure system will renew base plan (BB Day @ RM 0.88). Upon successful of renewal the service will be extends for 1 day. In even of failure to renewal base plan, 2nd renewal attempts will be perform on 2nd July at 1pm for BB Month plan.
