U Mobile’s sponsorship will contribute towards sending 39 delegates, consisting of 16 athletes, six Unified partners, 12 coaches, four officials, and one healthcare professional, to Berlin for the Special Olympics World Games which will take place between 17 to 25 June 2023.  The Malaysian Special Olympics Athletes will be competing against 7,000 athletes from 190 countries in six sporting events, namely swimming, bocce, badminton, athletics, table tennis and bowling.

To mark its patronage, a handover ceremony was held at the telco’s Corporate Office at Berjaya Times Square on 24 May 2023.
