Profile Information Update
Organiser:
The “Update Your Profile Information” promotional campaign (“Campaign”) is organised by U Mobile Sdn Bhd (“U Mobile”) which will run from 4th October 2016 (from 3:00pm) until 27th March 2017 (up to 11:59pm) or any other duration specified by U Mobile (“Campaign Period”).

By participating in this Campaign, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions below (‘Terms and Conditions”).

  1. Eligibility:
    1. This Campaign is open to all U Mobile customers except as provided for in these Terms and Conditions.
    2. Participant must:
      1. be 18 years of age and above;
      2. be a Malaysian citizen who holds a Malaysian I.C. and/or Malaysian Passport
      3. has an account with U Mobile which is active throughout the Campaign Period. Active means able to make and receive calls.
    3. The following group of persons shall not be eligible to participate in this Campaign:
      1. U Mobile’s permanent and/or contract employees and their immediate family members (children, parents, brothers and sisters, including spouses).
      2. U Mobile’s dealers.
      3. Representatives, employees and/or agents of advertising and/or promotion service providers of the Organizers.
      4. MSISDN registered under the company’s name.
      5. MSISDN registered under the corporate account.
      6. Non-Malaysian citizens holding a foreign Passport.
      7. U Mobile’s VIP & VVIP customers.
    4. U Mobile reserves the sole and absolute discretion and rights to exclude or disqualify any participant.
  2. The Campaign Details
    1. Campaign Prizes:
      1. Weekly Prizes
        1. Smartphones (two (2) weekly winners)
        2. Golden Screen Cinemas Movie Tickets (four hundred (400) winners weekly)
    2. How to participate?
      1. Update or confirm your profile information via Self Care or MyUMobile app.
      2. How to Update Profile Information via Self Care:
        Step 1: Register and/or log-in to the U Mobile Self-Care portal.
        Step 2: Update and/or confirm your profile information:
        • Click on “Manage Account”
        • Click on “Contact Details”
        • Click on “Edit Contact Details” to update your profile with valid and current personal and contact details.
        • Click on “Save Contact Details” to confirm your update.
        How to Update Profile Information via MyUMobile app:
        Step 1: Download and/or log-in to MyUMobile app.
        Step 2: Update your profile information:
        • Tap on the ‘settings’ icon at the top of the sidebar
        • Tap on “Edit Profile”
        • Tap on “Edit” to update your profile with valid and current personal and contact details
        • Tap “Submit” to confirm your update
      3. All customers who have performed the steps above will automatically be enrolled in the Campaign as eligible participants.
    3. Winners Selection:
      1. A list of total eligible participants will be created based on the sequence of date and time of email update, whereby each participant will be assigned a number based on the sequence.
      2. The first two participants of the week to successfully update his/her profile information will win the weekly smartphone prize.
      3. The 400 participants after the first two winners to successfully update their profile information will win the weekly movie tickets.
    4. Winners Notification:
      1. Winners will be notified within 30 business days after the end of each week during the Campaign Period.
      2. All winners will be notified by email and a current and valid email is required in order to claim their prize.
      3. The notification email will contain a code and a five digit number. Winners will need to SMS the code to the five digit number to claim their prizes - within three (3) business days of receiving notification. If no response is received, then U Mobile reserves the right to disqualify the winner and forfeit the prize and the non-contactable winner shall have no claim whatsoever against U Mobile on the cancellation and the forfeiture.
      4. In the event a winner fails to collect his or her prize within 30 days after notification, he or she waives any and all claims to that prize which will be dealt with according to the absolute discretion of U Mobile.

      1. A participant (based on the registered NRIC number with U Mobile) is only allowed to win a maximum of one (1) prize for each prize category throughout the duration of the Campaign Period.
      2. U Mobile reserves the absolute right to substitute or replace any of the prizes with other items of similar values at any time, if the stated prizes are not available due to unforeseen circumstances, without any prior written notice and all prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash. The visual of the prizes in www.u.com.my or any official promotional materials for this Campaign serves as illustration only.
      3. The winners of the prizes must be an active U Mobile Postpaid, Prepaid or Broadband subscriber. Winners are required to clear the outstanding balance in previous month’s bill (if there’s any) prior to prize redemption.
      4. Winners are responsible for any and all taxes (if any), fees, charges, or insurance payable as a result of a prize being awarded or received.
      5. The prize availability depends on U Mobile’s distributor’s or agent’s stock availability.
      6. All prizes are used/accepted entirely at the risk of the winners at all times and U Mobile excludes all warranties in connection with any prize to the extent permitted by law.
      7. All prizes given are on an “as is” basis and the titles in the prizes and any risk of loss or damage to the prizes is passed to the prize winners upon physical delivery of the prizes to the prize winners. U Mobile, its agencies, affiliates, sponsors and representatives shall not be responsible, obligated or liable for the misuse of any of the prizes, nor for any claims, liability, loss, expenses, costs, theft or damages arising out of or in connection with and/or the prizes associated with this Campaign.
      8. The winners of the Campaign may be required to attend and participate in a prize-giving ceremony and/or other related events organized by U Mobile, if any. Should the winners fail to attend such ceremonies and/or events, U Mobile reserves the right to forfeit the prizes.
  3. General Terms and Conditions
    1. U Mobile’s decisions on any matter relating to this Campaign are final and binding on all participants. If any matters arise which are not covered in these Terms and Conditions, they will be determined solely by U Mobile.
    2. U Mobile may change any of these Terms and Conditions including terminating or suspending this Campaign and extending the Campaign Period. Any such change will be announced on our website. It is your responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions on our website and if you do not agree to any of the changes, you must immediately cease participation in the Campaign.
    3. By participating in the Campaign, all participants:-
      1. consent for U Mobile to collect, record, hold, store, use and disclose their personal information for purposes which are necessary or related to the participation in the Campaign; and
      2. consent for U Mobile to disclose or publish their personal information such as their names and identities and any general information that U Mobile sees fit about the participants in any media, marketing or advertising materials; and
      3. grant U Mobile the absolute and unrestricted right to modify, use and publish any still or moving images of the participants for any promotional, marketing, commercial or other related purpose, without any payment or compensation.
    4. To the extent permitted by law, U Mobile excludes all liability in connection with this Campaign. All participants and if the participants are below 18 years of age, their parents or guardians, agree to release U Mobile from and indemnify U Mobile against all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury or for loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct or indirect, special or consequential arising out of participation in this Campaign.
    5. The subscription and use of U Mobile’s mobile services are subject to U Mobile’s standard service Terms and Condition and where applicable, these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency, U Mobile’s standard service Terms and Conditions will apply to the extent of such inconsistency.
    6. The Campaign and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The participants agree that the Courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over all matters arising from this Campaign.
