- U SaveMore is a bundled package that allows you to own a device offered by U Mobile (“Device”) and subscribe to U Biz 68, U Biz 98 and U Biz Share 128 Postpaid plans (“Plan” or “Plans”). If you subscribe to U SaveMore, the Terms of Service of the respective Postpaid plans, including our Privacy Notice, and these additional terms and conditions will apply (collectively, “Terms”), all of which are available on www.u.com.my.
- You can use the Plan via smartphones only and no other devices, such as a MiFi and USB dongle. We may from time to time change the device requirements for U Biz 68, U Biz 98 and U Biz Share 128 at our absolute discretion.
U SaveMore for U Biz 68, U Biz 98 and U Biz Share 128
- The rate table guide for the rate plan under this U SaveMore is as set out on our website at https://www.u.com.my/business.
- Subject to paragraph 5, all U SaveMore subscribers are required to pay an upfront payment and the Device Price upon sign up.
- The upfront payment will vary depending on the Device model that you have chosen as shown in https://www.u.com.my/en/business/mobile-internet/devices.
- For Non-Malaysian citizens, a deposit of RM500 is required to be paid upon sign up, in addition to the upfront payment and Device Price. When the Plan is terminated, this deposit will be refunded free of interest after all outstanding charges have been paid.
- Payment Options under U SaveMore
3.1 Payment Methods
Under U SaveMore, you have the option to choose the following payment methods:
- Payment via FPX (Financial Process Exchange) OR credit card: You are required to make full payment of the total amount charged during sign up by using FPX or credit card; or
- Easy Payment Plan (EPP) with U Mobile’s partnering bank credit cards (“Partnering Banks/Credit Card Issuer”)
3.2 Easy Payment Plan (EPP)
- If you opt for EPP with credit cards (issued by our Partnering Banks/Credit Card Issuers) you can pay the total amount charged during sign up over a pre-agreed tenure with 0% interest. You are encouraged to contact our Partnering Banks/Credit Card Issuer for further details regarding the EPP facility and eligibility criteria.
- The EPP is available to U Mobile customers who fulfil the following criteria:
- subscribing to any of the Plans; and
- possess valid credit card issued by any of our Partnering Banks/Credit Card Issuer. The selection of Device model for EPP is solely at U Mobile’s own discretion.
- You can opt-in by walking into the selected U Mobile service centre or via U Mobile online store (“Online Store”).
- The EPP offers a 0% interest rate for the instalment payments based on the selected tenure. The instalment tenure ranges from six (6) months to a maximum of thirty-six (36) months, depending on the Partnering Banks/Credit Card Issuer and transaction touchpoints (either U Mobile service centre or Online Store).
- Under the U SaveMore Device ownership program:
- you must fulfil the commitment period of U SaveMore. “Commitment Period” is the pre-agreed duration for which you are required to subscribe to the Services.
- EPP payment tenure must not be lesser than your Commitment Period.
- Once you have paid the upfront payment upon sign up, that upfront payment will then be reflected as a monthly rebate in your monthly bills throughout the Commitment Period from your first bill, subject to the bill cycle.
- The upfront payment will be waived if you have fulfilled the upfront payment waiver criteria (determined by U Mobile) during your registration for U SaveMore. Eligibility of upfront payment waiver is solely at U Mobile’s own discretion.
- If you terminate your U SaveMore or change to another rate plan at any time before the end of the Commitment Period, the following will apply:
- Sign-up before 15 December 2023
For subscribers who are entitled to the upfront payment waiver (i.e No upfront payment is required to be made), you are required to refund the balance charges as calculated below:
Balance charges = U Mobile Selling Price / Commitment Period x remaining number of months
For subscribers who are not entitled to the upfront payment waiver and have paid the upfront payment, your remaining monthly rebate will be forfeited.
- Sign-up from 15 December 2023 onwards
- (RRP and U Mobile Selling Price are specified in https://www.u.com.my/en/biz/devices)
The remaining number of months will be deemed to include the month during which you terminated the Service.
- All claims relating to your Device, which is part of the U SaveMore program, and which are covered by the warranty, if any, should be referred to the relevant manufacturer. We do not provide any warranty claim on any Device.
- U Mobile may block or restrict the use of the Device during the Commitment Period if:
- U Mobile suspects or finds that you have committed fraud; or
- despite our reminders, you have failed to remit the monthly fees of your Postpaid plan for a continuous period of two (2) consecutive months from the activation of the Device plan or any other period as determined by U Mobile from time to time.
- U Mobile may unblock the use of the Device upon receipt of the outstanding payment and upon your request to unblock the use of the Device if your Device use is blocked due to non-payment of the Monthly Fees of your chosen rate plan.
- If your Device is blocked due to fraud or suspected fraud, you may be requested to contact U Mobile’s customer service for further instructions.
- You remain liable for the Monthly Fees if you lose your Device, if your account is barred or suspended, or if your use of Device is blocked, for any reason.
