GoInsure 3 does not apply to any benefit arising directly or indirectly out of:
Deliberate self-inflicted injury, suicide or, criminal or illegal act;
You being under the influence of intoxicating liquor, having a blood alcohol content over the prescribed legal limit whilst driving, or being under the influence of any other drug unless it was prescribed by a doctor and taken in accordance with the doctor’s advice;
You engaging in any professional sports, meaning your livelihood is substantially dependent on income received as a result of you playing sport;
You engaging in any motor sports as a rider, driver and/or a passenger;
You being a pilot or crew member (on active duty) of any aircraft, or engaging in any aerial activity, including parachuting and hang-gliding, except as a passenger in any properly licensed aircraft; or
Pre-existing medical conditions.
The above are some of the key exclusions under the GoInsure 3 plan that you should be aware of. Please refer to the full list of exclusions which can be found in the policy wordings.
GoInsure 3 is exclusively offered to U Mobile customers who are:
Malaysian citizens or permanent residents of Malaysia; and
Aged between 18 up to 70 years on the effective date of coverage. For example, if your date of birth is 28 November 1949, the last renewal date for GoInsure 3 will be 27 November 2019, which is a day before you turn 70 years old.
Upon receiving the receipt via SMS, MyUMobile App or email notification for GoInsure 3 from U Mobile, you can opt in to GoInsure 3 by selecting “Opt-In” via the designated Web Portal at http://u.com.my/goinsure3. You will receive a notification via SMS from U Mobile once you have successfully Opt-In (“Opt-In Notification”).
Upon receiving the Opt-In Notification, you will receive the insurance coverage for GoInsure 3 which is valid for a period of 1 month effective from the date you receive the Subscription Notification (“Coverage Period”).
If you received a notification from U Mobile stating that your Opt-In failed, please visit the nearest U Mobile branch or service centre at the locations listed at www.u.com.my to update your personal details.
Once you have updated your personal details, you can try to Opt-In to GoInsure 3 again by following the steps listed in question 5 of this FAQ.
Your GoInsure 3 coverage will commence upon your receipt of the Opt-In Notification via SMS.

Yes, you may terminate your GoInsure 3 Plan by following the steps below:

MyUMobile App: Click MyUMobile App > Menu Tab > Digital Goods & Services > Transaction History > Menu Tab > Subscription > Cancel.

Upon the U Mobile’s receipt of your termination notice via SMS, you will be entitled to enjoy the existing GoInsure 3 coverage until the expiry of the coverage period.
For example, if your GoInsure 3 is effective on 1st May 2020 and you send the termination notice via SMS on 4 May 2020, your GoInsure 3 will be terminated on 4 May 2020. But you will continue to receive coverage under the terminated GoInsure 3 until 31 May 2020, which is the expiry date of the GoInsure 3 coverage.
The premium for your GoInsure 3 plan will be charged immediately upon successful opt-In and on a monthly basis for subsequent renewals. Your coverage will continue, on a monthly basis with recurring payments unless you cancel your GoInsure 3 plan. The premium charged will be reflected in your Postpaid bill if you are a Postpaid subscriber or will be deducted from your Prepaid credit, if you are a Prepaid subscriber.
No. GoInsure 3 is only offered to the principal line holders for U Mobile postpaid and prepaid accounts. Each eligible customer can only purchase one GoInsure 3 policy at a time.
You can make a nomination by downloading the nomination form at www.chubb.com/my-goinsure and submitting the completed form via email to Chubb at goinsure.MY@chubb.com.
Chubb shall remit the benefit amount directly to you except for accidental death benefit and bereavement benefit, where the benefit amount will be payable to your nominee, or if there is no such nominee to the person, Chubb is required to pay under the law.
Accidental death/disability/bereavement benefits
If you have other personal accident policies, in addition to GoInsure 3, you or your nominee/beneficiary may submit a claim for accidental death/disability under every personal accident policy you are subscribed to including GoInsure 3.
For example, if you have an existing personal accident policy issued by Insurer company A and you purchased GoInsure 3, your nominee or beneficiary can claim the benefit under both, from your personal accident policy issued by company A and your GoInsure 3, in the event of your death due to an accident.
Medical expenses
You can only claim up to the amount that has been spent for medical expenses.
If you have submitted a claim for medical expenses under another personal accident policy, Chubb will only reimburse you the excess amount which is irrecoverable from such other sources.
For example, if you have an existing personal accident policy issued by company A with a coverage limit of RM500, and you have subscribed to GoInsure 3, you can claim for medical expenses due to any accident (i.e. if the sum is RM900) suffered by you in the following manner:
RM500 from the personal accident policy under company A; and
Balance of RM400 from Chubb under your GoInsure 3.
A. Claim for accidental death/permanent disablement benefits
Your GoInsure 3 will be immediately terminated upon Chubb’s payment of the benefits due under the accidental death or permanent disablement benefits.
B. Claim for other benefits:
The GoInsure 3 will not be terminated upon Chubb’s payment of the benefits due.
The claim will be based on a reimbursement basis per accident and must not exceed the sum assured.
For example, if you are subscribed to GoInsure 3 and you have received medical treatment with the total cost of RM 400 for bodily injury resulting from an accident, you can submit a claim of a maximum amount of RM 400 only which is the actual cost of the medical expenses. In this case, the actual claim amount will be lower than the sum assured of RM 500 for accidental medical expenses per accident under your GoInsure 3.
If your claim is payable under the GoInsure 3, Chubb will remit the benefit payment within 14 working days from the day the claim is approved. This is subject to Chubb’s receipt of full and complete documentation and information.
You must submit all claims directly to Chubb by downloading the claim form at www.chubb.com/my-goinsure and emailing the completed form to Chubb at goinsure.MY@chubb.com.

No. It will be automatically terminated upon termination of your U Mobile account.
Upon termination of the GoInsure 3, you will be entitled to receive coverage until the expiry of the coverage period of such terminated GoInsure 3.
For example, if your GoInsure 3 is effective on 1 May 2020 and your U Mobile account is terminated on 7 May 2020, you will continue to receive coverage under your GoInsure 3 until 31 May 2020, which is the expiry date of the GoInsure 3 coverage.
You can submit your claim after your GoInsure 3 is cancelled for any accident that occurred during the GoInsure 3 coverage period subject to your claim limit.
U Mobile or Chubb reserves the right to reject any subscription/renewal from any participant without assigning any reason.
