Terms & Conditions

  1. This Merdeka Campaign (“Campaign”) is organised by U Mobile Sdn. Bhd. (Registration No: 199101013657 (223969-U) (“U Mobile”) which commences at 00:00:00 on 1st August 2024 and ends at 23:59:59 on 31st August 2024 (“Campaign Period”).
  2. All entries received out of the Campaign Period will be automatically disqualified.
  3. By participating in this Campaign, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions below (“Terms and Conditions”).
  4. Campaign Eligibility
    1. This Campaign is open to all active new and existing U Mobile postpaid and prepaid subscribers (Corporate account not included). “Active” means able to make and receive calls.
    2. U Mobile’s employees, agencies, partners, and their immediate family members are not allowed to participate in this Campaign.
    3. U Mobile reserves the right to reject any entries or disqualify participants without assigning any reason.
    4. Participants who are below the age of 18 years old are deemed to have obtained the consent of their parents or guardians to participate in this Campaign.
  5. Campaign Mechanism
    1. To participate in this Campaign, you are required to:
      1. Step 1: Download the MyUMobile App
        • Participants must be registered with a valid mobile number and email address.
      2. Step 2: Perform reward redemption
        • Go to My Vouchers and grab the “sooka Premium Merdeka Extravaganza” deal on Rewards page
        • Redeem the deal to acquire your voucher. Vouchers may include sooka vouchers or Touch 'n Go voucher pin.
        • Redeem sooka Premium on the sooka app.
        • Redeem Touch 'n Go voucher pin on the Touch 'n Go app.
    2. The promotion is based on “first-come, first-served or while stocks last” basis. The reward is not transferable nor exchangeable and will only be issued to the winners as verified by U Mobile.
    3. When you complete the steps listed above, you will be deemed a participant in the Campaign. No entry form is required.

      1. The prizes are given on “As Is” and “As Available” basis without express or implied warranty and are not transferable or exchangeable for cash, credit or rebate in full or in part. U Mobile reserves the right to substitute the prizes with another prize of similar value at any time without prior notice.
    1. Prize Fulfilment
      1. U Mobile will notify the winners of their entitlement to receive the prize via phone call or SMS or other method or medium it deems fit to notify the participants of their entitlement to receive the prizes. The prizes may be given out as follows (subject to U Mobile’s sole discretion):

        The winner is required to provide a valid delivery address for the delivery of the prize. Failure to provide a valid delivery address after two (2) times of attempted delivery arrangement will result in the forfeiture of the prize. Any winner whose prize has been forfeited shall not be entitled to any payment or compensation. U Mobile may at its discretion revise the prize delivery arrangement.
      2. The winner’s failure to provide the required details or information will result in the forfeiture of the prizes.
    2. The participants must ensure that their U Mobile accounts remain active throughout the Campaign Period and until the issuance of prizes. “Active” means able to make and receive calls.
    3. There is no limit on the entries for each participant for the transaction during the Campaign Period.
    4. U Mobile reserves the right at its sole discretion to re-schedule any prize issuance without prior notice. The winners’ names may be published on U Mobile’s website, or any other method of communications U Mobile deems appropriate. Any prizes shown on U Mobile’s website, U Mobile’s social media pages, advertisements and Campaign materials are for photography or illustration purposes only.
  1. General
    1. U Mobile’s decisions on any matter relating to this Campaign are final and binding on all participants.  If any matters arise which are not covered in these Terms and Conditions, they will be determined solely by U Mobile.
    2. U Mobile may change any of these Terms and Conditions including terminating or suspending this Campaign and extending the Campaign Period. Any such change will be announced on our website. It is the participants’ responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions on our website and if the participants do not agree to any of the changes, such participants must immediately cease participation in the Campaign.
    3. All prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the participants. To the extent permitted by law, U Mobile excludes all liability in connection with this Campaign.  All participants and if the participants are below 18 years of age, their parents, or guardians, agree to release U Mobile from and indemnify U Mobile against all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury or for loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct or indirect, special, or consequential arising out of participation in this Campaign.
    4. By participating in the Campaign, all participants:
      1. consent for U Mobile to collect, record, hold, store, use and disclose their personal information for purposes which are necessary or related to the participation in the Campaign; and
      2. consent for U Mobile to disclose or publish their personal information such as their names and identities and any general information that U Mobile sees fit about the participants in any media, marketing, or advertising materials; and
      3. grant U Mobile the absolute and unrestricted right to modify, use and publish any still or moving images of the participants for any promotional, marketing, commercial or other related purpose, without any payment or compensation.
    5. Any consents, indemnities, agreement, undertakings, representations, and warranties given under these Terms and Conditions by participants who are below the age of 18 years old are deemed to have been given by their parents or guardians.
    6. The subscription and use of U Mobile’s Postpaid or Prepaid mobile services are subject to U Mobile’s standard Postpaid or Prepaid Terms and Conditions and where applicable, these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency, U Mobile’s standard Postpaid or Prepaid Terms and Conditions will apply to the extent of such inconsistency.
    7. The Campaign and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The participants agree that the Courts of Malaysia have exclusive authority over all matters arising from this Campaign.
    8. In the event of any conflict between the English and other language versions, the English version shall prevail.
